I post this mostly for the benefit of future buyers. An engineer's scale is generally used for large scale drawings, 1"= 10', 1" = 20", etc. If you want a scale for house plans to measure in feet and inches (smaller scale), you probably want an architect's scale.

I looked all over the net for an engineering scale in the metric system.
This scale meets all my needs in designing scale model structures. I'm an old designer, and do not understand anyone who buys an engineerinjg scale without knowing or at least inquiring what scale divisions system is on it.

This scale is in metric measurements. This scale was purchased to scale blueprints for a door and trim shop. I was expecting it to have 1/4" 1/8" ect. scale on it, but all the measurements are in metric and that makes it useless to me.
